A Universal Inkjet Refill Kit may be the cheapest ink replacement option but is it the best option?
A universal inkjet refill kit provides the cheapest alternative to replacing brand name and remanufactured or compatible inkjet cartridges. But is that enough reason for it to be the best option? An obvious question for a printer owner would be "why don't we all just buy a universal inkjet refill kit"?
Why use a Universal Inkjet Refill Kit?
Even though a universal inkjet refill kit may make sense in terms of saving you the most money on your ink replacement costs that doesn't automatically qualify it as the best option. A universal inkjet refill kit is as the name implies - "universal". Universal ink means it is designed to suit a large range of printers and printing situations but it may not do any one of them exceedingly well. It is unrealistic and naive to assume that a universal ink exists that is right for all inkjet printers and every printing need that exists. Have you ever heard of a universal printer?
As is true with most ideas in life, that on the surface seem really good, the reality is usually something quite different. For example, if you are creating high quality photo prints from your 5 mega pixel digital camera using your inkjet photo printer do you want the best available inkjet ink specifically formulated for your printer or would you settle for a universal inkjet refill kit? Obviously you would choose good quality photo paper together with the best possible ink for your printer.
On the other hand if your printing needs are such that you aren't overly concerned with achieving the highest quality output from your inkjet printer then a universal inkjet refill kit may suit your needs. Of course this also assumes you have the time, patience and inclination it takes in refilling your empty inkjet cartridges. That, of course, is a question only you can answer.
